- Restart in Cool mode at 24°C, full fan speed. Observe for 20 minutes.
If the unit cools normally and no ice forms again within 24 hours, the cause was probably operational, dirty filters, or a borderline thermostat issue. What Not To Do
Never chip ice off the coil with a knife, screwdriver or any sharp tool. The aluminium fins bend at the slightest pressure, and a single bent fin restricts airflow on that section of coil forever. Warm dryer air is fine, hot dryer air can damage the plastic drain pan and the fin coating.
